Video Transcript for Review of Lippert Boat Trailer Wheels - Trailer Hubs and Drums - Trailer Tires and Wheels - LC72VP

Hi everyone. Steve here with etrailer. Let's take a look at these Lippert wheel studs. They're going to be a five-eighth inch thick thread size by 18 thread count, two and three-quarter inches long on the shoulder length or usable length. And they use a 0.689 inch neural. So starting off with a lot of different information here.

So what's a neural Well, a neural is this part here or spline, some people call them. That's the part that's actually going to stick through the hub and grab on and bite between that hole of the hub itself and hold it in place so it'll then stick out of the hub. So that neural, that thickness, you would use dial calipers to measure that and you're going to get 0.689. So if you have an old one that you're trying to match up, you want to hammer it out carefully and then measure it. It needs to be very, very close to work and fit in there.

The shoulder length is from the back side of this shoulder here to the very end and that's two and three-quarter inches long. And again, it's a five-eighth inch thick thread by 18 threads per inch thread count. You're going to get quantity four. These are zinc plated steel construction. So they're strong.

These are a drive-in wheel stud to replace your trailer's wheel hub assembly if you have some damaged studs or just something maybe like the threads are damaged, you couldn't retap them or whatever, rethread them. You could punch it out and put a new one in place. Quantity four. That's our look at the Lippert wheel stud. I'm Steven, thanks for watching.
