Question:

I want to replace my WFCO WF-8735P with a convertor that does LifePO4, will the Progressive Dynamic 9360 be an acceptable replacement? Thank you. Tom

Hey Tom, thanks for reaching out. The Progressive Dynamics 9300 Series is lithium compatible, but it is not a direct replacement for your complete WFCO WF-8735P power center. Since you are looking to upgrade to LiFePO4 and replace the existing unit, I recommend the:

- WFCO Auto-Detect RV Converter and AC/DC Distribution Panel - 12V - 35 Amp # WF96FR

The # WF96FR is the direct replacement for your WF-8735P, so it fits the same opening without having to modify the cabinet or piece together a separate converter installation. It also has WFCO’s Auto-Detect technology, which automatically recognizes a lithium battery and switches to the proper charging profile. For a clean LiFePO4 upgrade, this is definitely the route I recommend.

What size Lithium battery bank are you working with?

Jesse, Thank you for the reply. I have heard the auto sensor does not always work well. My bank is a 300amp battery. If you tell me that the auto switch is good, then I am all in. I trust you guys.

@TomC Hey Tom. The new WFCo converters are solid, and I have faith in the auto detect feature. The big thing that people get caught up on is you have to run the batteries thru a few discharge cycles before it will auto detect. A lot of people will order these and skip that step and assume there is something wrong with the converter since it doesn't automatically detect the Lithium batteries right out of the box. Just make sure you let the batteries discharge and charge a few times, and it'll work exactly as intended.
