MORryde Safe-T-Rail For 2020 MicroLite 25FBLS With MORryde StepAbove 3 Steps

Updated 08/31/2026 | Published 08/20/2026

Question:

We have a 2020 MicroLite 25FBLS and would like to install a Safe-T-Rail. Which length would you suggest? We have the MorRyde Strut Assist 3 step system, which I am replacing with the same that I just received from you. I made a stupid error at one point last year :-

Hey Brian! Both the 34" MORryde Short Safe-T-Rail # MR54RV and the 42-1/2" Safe-T-Rail # MR54BR can work with your 3-step MORryde setup. There isn't a specific length required based on the number of steps, so I recommend mocking up the dimensions to see which one gives you the reach you prefer.

I've attached diagrams for both below so you can compare them to your MicroLite and see how each would line up alongside your steps. I also included the Safe-T-Rail mounting requirements so you can make sure you have the necessary clearance for installation.

I have to know now, what happened to the original steps?

I have the 54 inch length on mine, 3 steps and step into the camper. This one works great and extends just about even with the first step. Very stable, safe and easy to extend and use. If I ever trade this one in, I’ll have to have another just like it.

@Bob thanks for sharing! That's a great real world reference for Brian, especially with the same 3-step setup.

Well...... if you have to know what happened. Someone moved the trailer before the steps were raised. They rode up an angled concrete wall and bent the sill plate of the step. I tried putting tension on the bottom of the step and beating it with a sledge hammer trying to get it fixed, but that didn't work. Luckily it didn't damage the RV. Lesson learned, walk around the RV multiple times before moving it. BTW, what is the vertical length of the 34" and 42" Safe-T-Rail? It would be helpful to have that on the diagrams.

@BrianP that's a bummer, kinda thought that was the case but you never know. Not the first time or the last that will happen to someone but definitely not fun. The fact nothing else was damaged is definitely something to be thankful for! That bracket is 31.925" on the shorter one and 52.22" on the longer. I attached a different answer page of mine that has the full dimensional drawings since I can't add additional pictures here.

We are so happy with our handrail. Super easy to install and I like the fact that you can hold it going all of the way down the stairs. Would highly recommend this hand rail. We love ordering from e-trailer.

@TeresaL thanks for sharing! Being able to hold onto the rail all the way down is a big advantage with the Safe-T-Rail. Glad you're so happy with it and we appreciate you choosing etrailer!
