I watched a video from morryde for my rv and it recommended this handrail. So I ordered it and drilled my holes and come to find out it was too short. I know it was my fault for not checking before I drilled but I got what they recommended. Steps are great

OEM hand rail laid over door handle and I couldn’t install an electronic door lock. This solved the problem except I had to use both upper frame parts to cover the holes left by the OEM hand rail.

That’s a clever solution, nice work figuring that out. Sounds like that OEM handrail was getting in the way more than helping, especially with adding the electronic lock. Using both upper frame pieces to clean up those old mounting holes is a great call, it looks better and keeps everything sealed up. Glad to hear this one solved the problem for you. What kind of RV are you running it on?

@MikeM Wow, that is an impressive RV, Mike. Sounds like you scored a good one at the Hershey show. Good ol’ Hershey, Pennsylvania. Did you get a chance to hit the chocolate factory while you were there?

This is pretty good build quality. There are a few sharp edges in non-functional areas. The mounting brackets are a little bit confusing too as the top bracket has two options and our independent of the main mounting bracket.

Very easy to install and my wife is very happy with it.

Works as expected. Poor instructions. Lower bolt was loose and the head was stripped out. I was able to fix it, but it added a lot of time to the installation.

  • What is the Difference in the MORryde Hand Rail?
Hey Richard. The difference in the three MORryde hand rails is how far they extend away from the side of your trailer and how long the railing goes down the stairs. The MORryde item # MR34RV extends out 16" from the mounting point and has a 36" long hand rail. The MORryde item # MR54RV extends out 34" from the mounting point and has a 48" long hand rail. The MORryde item # MR54BR extends out 42-1/2" from the mounting point and has a 54" long hand rail. What kind of trailer do you...

  • Will the MORryde Short Safe-T-Rail Telescoping RV Hand Rail Work on a 2014 Keystone Avalanche?
Hey Luis! So long as your Keystone has flat fiberglass walls then yes the MORryde Short Safe-T-Rail Telescoping RV Hand Rail item # MR54RV will work with your 5th wheel trailer. It is not designed to be used on corrugated steel walls. This rail extends out 34" from the attachment point on your trailer and includes all mounting hardware. I have linked a diagram below so you can see the dimensions of this handle. If you have any additional questions feel free to throw them into the comment...

  • Will Morryde Short Safe T Rail Fit 2022 Riverstone Reserve 3670
Hey Mitch, I don't have a way to look up any specs on your 2022 Riverstone Reserve 3670 but based on how universal the MORryde Short Safe T Rail # MR54RV is I feel confident this would work for you. I wouldn't stress about the decals getting covered either.

  • Dual Hand Rail Recommendation for Jayco Feather Light 22RB
Hey Karen, you could have the MORryde Short Safe-T-Rail Telescoping RV Hand Rail - 34" Extension # MR54RV installed on either side of your doorway and you'd have a great set of hand rails for either side of the door that extend out 34 inches. Would this be something you'd be interested in or are you wanting to stick with something that mounts to the steps?

  • Can MORryde Short Safe T Rail # MR54RV Attach to 2021 Jayco Jayflight 28BHS
Hey Shawn, I am sure there's a way to mount the MORryde Short Safe-T-Rail Telescoping RV Hand Rail - 34" Extension # MR54RV on the side of your 2021 Jayco Jayflight 28BHS. You would need to line up the mounting hardware with the higher points on the outer material of the RV so that it attaches securely.

Hey John! With four steps the MORryde Safe-T-Rail Telescoping RV Hand Rail # MR54BR is likely the better choice over the short # MR54RV. I went ahead and attached the full dimensions of both below so you can see what you think will fit best on your 2022 DRV. Are you upgrading your rail or did the old one break?

  • Which MORryde Safe-T-Rail Fits Jayco Jay Feather 27MK
Hey Bert! The best way to figure this out is to mock it up on your Jayco Jay Feather 27MK. We don't have a way of knowing which rail would be best for any given trailer. Take a look at the attached pictures. You can use those measurements to see which would be the best fit for your travel trailer and stairs. The # MR54RV extends out 34" and the # MR54BR extends out 42-1/2" from the wall. Most people find that the # MR54BR is the better fit for their setup. Any big trips coming up with...

Hey Ronald, To get you swapped over to a motorized step I would need know the distance from the ground up to the mounting space for the steps and the width of the mounting space in order to pick out the correct fit. I've attached some pictures below showing what I'm talking about. Along with that I also recommend checking out the MORryde Safe-T-Rail # MR54BR or short version # MR54RV. Hey Bob. The MORryde Short Safe-T-Rail Telescoping RV Hand Rail item # MR54RV requires 2.25" of clearance between your door frame and the awning rail. It needs at minimum 31" of vertical clearance. If your awning arm is 2.5" away from your door frame you'll have room. Does your awning arm extend all the way down to the bottom of your RV?
