Looking For Brake Controller For 2021 Tiffin Breeze/Powerglide Chassis

Updated 08/27/2026 | Published 08/18/2026

Question:

I am looking for a brake controller for my 2021 Tiffin Breeze which is on their power glide chassis. Your site does not show any fits for my motorhome. However, there are brake controllers that fit other Tiffin models. What is the reason they do not fit my model?

Hey William, thanks for reaching out. Yes, we can provide a brake controller for your 2021 Tiffin Breeze/Powerglide chassis. As long as it already has a 7-way trailer connector on the back, it should have brake controller wires under the dash you can use to wire in a brake controller. That will allow you to use virtually any brake controller. That said, here is what I recommend:

- Redarc Tow-Pro Liberty Brake Controller w/ Universal Wiring Harness - Dash Knob - Proportional # RED52VR

I like this controller because it installs hidden behind the dash, and all you see is the small LED control knob. Its super easy to deal with and has a nice, clean factory look. It comes with a universal pigtail you can use to hardwire the controller. I'd just want you to make sure your RV has a 7-way and has those brake controller wires present under the dash. As long as those are there, this controller will install easily and work great for you.

What kind of trailer do you usually tow?

Hey William, I just installed the Redarc Tow-Pro Liberty in my ‘22 Ranger to pull our single-axle 18’ Winnebago overlanding trailer, with trailer brakes, and I couldn’t be happier! Its discrete footprint makes it look like a factory install, and its performance as a brake controller is exactly what we were looking for.

This is rather timely. I bought and installed it in my '22 Ranger well in advance of the capability to use it. I corrected that today with my Wolf Cub purchase. I towed it home from the dealer about 40 miles and it worked flawlessly. One thing to note: I mounted mine on the face of the console just below the 4WD switch, just as the video recommended. I had to trim out some ribs behind it, but the video mentioned that. But after installing it I could not press down to click it. There was not enough clearance to allow the knob to seat all the way on. I put a drop of silicone on the bottom of the hole in the knob, let it dry, and after putting it on it worked perfectly. Maybe the plastic in my console is a bit too thick?

@SteveJ Yea I have heard of that before where the console plastic is a bit too thick. Sounds like you came up with a solid workaround but Redarc does offer a universal mounting panel # 331-TPSI-001 that can be used in these cases. Thanks for sharing you experience! Glad to hear you are liking the Redarc controller. Happy travels!

I just installed a Redark brake controller for towing a 26 ft bumper pull. I really like its compact size and it works great. I like the blue led that lights up when hooked to the camper.

My problem with the reward package is the furnished wiring. The directions state the proper wire sizing to add and thats fine. From an engineering standpoint point tho you dont down step wire sizes as is what you have to do to use the furnished wiring. Not what I did. I pulled each wire and connector added the suggested size wiring size and reinstalled the supposed proper wire size without a reducing splice. The results of splits as such are fires you can see till its to late and I have seen major auto manufactures do this and suffer the consequences . I have a defined advantage of having built and serviced hundreds of molds used to produce these connectors and seen the problems involved.
