How Does InterVac VacPort Connect to InterVac CS8 Vacuum Cleaner

In a previous chat I was told that this InterVac VacPort part IV98FR could work with the InterVac CS8 Vacuum Cleaner part IV88FR. However, I do not see any picture showing where the hose from the VacPort would attach to the CS8 IV88FR. How is this done?

Hey Phil, this is a great question but the VacPort #IV98FR is designed to connect to the back of the InterVac CS8 #IV88FR, not to a visible fitting on the front of the unit like it sounds like you were thinking. The flange that you attach to is on the inside of the # IV88FR which we don't have in pictures and that is what the kit attaches to and then you use hole saw to drill out backside of the unit where the hose will run.

Thank you Jameson... I was not thinking of a visible fitting on the FRONT of the unit. Rather, I looked at the 3D image that is included in your description of the CS8, turned it around and was looking for some port on the back of the unit which I did not see. After leaving my message I looked at other related items eTrailer has and found that the CS9 DOES have a port on the back already in place. That is what I was looking for on the CS8. From what you say there is a step to actually create the hole. So... is there an installation document that can be shared?
