Features to know about

Space-Saving Central Vacuum Setup

Loose cleaning tools compete with storage space in small living areas. This compact central vacuum system mounts in place and uses an 11-3/4" x 6" x 6-3/4" overall footprint, giving dirt and debris cleanup a fixed home instead of taking up cabinet space.

Quick Cutout and 4-Screw Installation

Planning a permanent or semi-permanent cleaning setup comes down to placement and access. Installation uses an 11" x 6" x 6" cutout and 4-screw mounting process, letting the unit sit where it can be reached for repeated short cleanup sessions.

Suction Across Mixed Interior Surfaces

Tracked-in debris does not stay on one surface. Strong, consistent suction is listed for hard floors, upholstery, carpets, tile, and concrete, giving one mounted system a practical role across the main surfaces people deal with during routine cleanup.

Composite Housing for Small-Space Installs

Small installations can expose equipment to moisture and cramped storage areas. Composite housing resists rust and corrosion, keeping the mounted vacuum body serviceable while the space continues to handle regular dirt and debris cleanup.

Video Transcript for Review of InterVac RV Vacuum - 110 Volt CS8 Vacuum Cleaner - IV88FR

Hi, everybody. Andy here with etrailer. Let's take a quick look at this InterVac 110-volt CS8 Vacuum Cleaner. Now, this is a compact central vacuum system that's designed specifically for those small spaces like your RV, boats, your tiny homes, or even small kitchens. The big advantage is that this is going to give you the power of a built-in vacuum without taking up too much room. So, lemme go ahead and give you some measurements here just so you have a good idea of the size right up front.

So, looking at the overall width, we are sitting right at about 11-1/2 inches wide with height about 6-1/2, maybe a little over 6-1/2 inches tall. And then the overall depth right at about 6-3/4 inches. Let me give you the cutout as well. So, looks like at about 11 inches wide, about 6 inches tall. And then the depth of the cutout, again about 6 inches.

So, installation's gonna be pretty straightforward, and you'll just cut that size of opening inside of the wall or wherever you need this to go in to slide this into place. You're gonna secure it with four screws and then it's going to come with this 5-foot-long power cord. So, you're gonna have some flexibility when plugging this in. Now, one thing I wanna note is this does not include the accessory kit, so hoses and attachments would need to be purchased separately if you don't already have them. This is just going to be for the vacuum cleaner unit itself as you see it here.

Now, even though this is compact, this is going to give you strong, consistent suction. This is going to work well on those hard floors, carpet, tile, concrete, and even upholstery. So, it's gonna be pretty versatile to handle most cleaning jobs. Now, I got this plugged in, I just wanna power this on real quick to give you, just so you can hear it real quick. (vacuum whirring) So, it's a powerful motor in there and as you can see, you're just gonna be able to turn it on at the flip of that switch.

And let me go ahead and pop this open real quick. So, this is obviously where you put your hose at and then you can close that off, power switch as I mentioned. But then this whole panel will come off, and it does come with one bag and then you've got a filter here to protect that motor. That's gonna be replaceable. And we do sell replacements here at etrailer when the time comes for you to have to replace your filter or your bags for that matter. So, I just wanna give you a view of the inside here, the screws here to get this installed. So, again, overall this is gonna be an easy installation. Lemme see if I can pop that in there real quick again, and just like that we're back in place. (cover snaps) So, it's also very durable. This is made of a composite material, so it's not going to, you're not gonna have to worry about corrosion or anything like that. It is UL certified. So, this is going to meet the recognized safety and performance standards. So, overall, this is going to be a great space-saving, but durable, powerful backing solution for small installations where a traditional vacuum would be bulky or inconvenient, and you're not gonna have to worry about storing this or anything like that. If you happen to have any other questions, don't hesitate to reach out to us. We do wanna make sure that you're getting exactly what you need. Well, again, my name is Andy. Thank you for joining me.

I already had one in my fifth wheel, but there was a short somewhere and I noticed it was throwing sparks. Thank God no fire happened. This was to replace my already damaged one. So far, it is working phenomenally and I was able to vacuum the entire trailer within minutes.

See what our Experts say about this InterVac RV Vacuum

  • How Does InterVac VacPort Connect to InterVac CS8 Vacuum Cleaner
Hey Phil, this is a great question but the VacPort #IV98FR is designed to connect to the back of the InterVac CS8 #IV88FR, not to a visible fitting on the front of the unit like it sounds like you were thinking. The flange that you attach to is on the inside of the # IV88FR which we don't have in pictures and that is what the kit attaches to and then you use hole saw to drill out backside of the unit where the hose will run.

  • What is Stretched and Non-Stretched Length of Intervac Hose
Hey Chester, the hose length of the InterVac CS8 Vacuum Cleaner # IV88FR with the 35 foot length hose kit part # IV75FR is listed as the stretched length. So when stretched it's 35 feet and when relaxed it's 8 foot. The diameter of the hose is 1-3/8 inches.

  • How Does InterVac Rear Hose Connect to Vaccum Base
Hey Phil, after we talked last I realized I walked by one of the Intervacs # IV88FR we have on a nearby desk that was getting used for a training the other week and I saw it has the rear port. I took some pictures that I attached below that shows how it goes. You will need the flanged intake fitting # IV98VR as well to connect the part # IV98FR.
