Will the Torklift Everest Weight Distribution, SuperTruss Extension and Magnum Hitch work together?

Updated 08/10/2026 | Published 08/04/2026

Question:

Can the Everest Weight Distribution system work in conjunction with the super hitch 4 extension? I have the Magnum 30,000 pd hitch. Can I then put the 4 extension on, then then mount the Everest system to that?

Good question Brian, thanks for reaching out!

The Everest Weight Distribution System cannot be used in conjunction with a SuperTruss hitch extension.

The reason is that the Everest system # TLWD1000 uses a dual receiver shank that connects directly to the dual receivers of the SuperHitch Magnum # TLF1008-30. The SuperTruss extension # TLE1548 inserts into both receivers at the truck but then ends with a single receiver, so there's no way to attach the Everest shank to the end of the extension.

If you're using a SuperTruss extension, you'll need to use a standard weight distribution hitch. TorkLift specifically states to use a standard single receiver weight distribution hitch when towing with a SuperTruss extension.

Can I ask what length SuperTruss extension you're planning to use and what trailer you're towing?

I currently am using a 4' extension and I am towing a 20' cargo trailer. I need the extension due to the camper on the pickup hanging over.

@BrianB That makes sense, with the camper hanging past the back of the truck I can see why you need the full 48" SuperTruss. A 20' cargo trailer behind that setup definitely makes weight distribution worth getting right. Thanks for sharing and if we can assist with anything else, just let us know!
