Replacement RV Propane Gas and Carbon Monoxide Detector for a Expired RVCOLP-2 Detector

I own a 2022 Geo Pro G19fbs and need to replace the RVCOLP-2 alarm due to a September 2026 expiration date. I am wondering the RV Safe RV Propane Gas and Carbon Monoxide Detector - 12 Volt - 2 Wire - Black Part Number: RS54FR would be what I need as a direct replacement basically plug and play. After searching for the replacement I noticed people were receiving alarms that only had one year left before expiration. Would this alarm come with the full five years before expiration? The alarm specs I have in my trailer is RV Safe Model RVCOLP-2 Rating 13.5VDC, 18mA 70mA Max. I look forwrd to your reply and appreciate your help.

Welcome back Janice! The RV Propane Gas and Carbon Monoxide Detector item # RS54FR would indeed be the direct replacement for your RVCOLP-2. It's the same one actually so it'll be as close to plug and play as you can get. We use different part numbers for inventory so it'll fit the same mounting cutout. You'll just need to reattach the two wires.
The RV Propane Gas and Carbon Monoxide Detector item # RS54FR you receive will be a new one with a 5-year lifespan. You won't get one like the pictures that'll need to be replaced sooner.
We also have the RV Propane Gas and Carbon Monoxide Detector item # RS34FR in white.

Jerred, thank you for your reply. I went ahead and ordered the RS54FR and it should arrive Friday the 6th of August. I did not want to wait until the one installed quit working and knew I could count on etrailer for help. I normally camp in state parks, and privately owned, family parks. They are usually beautiful with friendly helpful staff. Being a very senior camper that is so important to me. My son will do the installation for me and I wanted to make sure it would be as easy for him as possible. He is a good son and helps me with trailer maintenance and mods. I am lucky. Have a good day.
