Question:

I have a 2025 Sierra 3500 4x4 with factory 5th wheel puck system. Im looking to go with an Airlift system as we are getting a 5th wheel camper GVWR of 11,995 and hitch weight of 1,695. Which Airlift system with compressor do you recommend and does the factory puck system interfere with the install?

Welcome to etrailer! I'm glad you found us.

For your setup, I recommend the Air Lift LoadLifter 5000 Air Helper Springs # AL57341. I actually like this system a little better than the Air Lift LoadLifter 5000 Ultimate Air Helper Springs with Internal Jounce Bumpers # AL88341 you were looking at. The Ultimate version includes internal jounce bumpers, which are a nice feature if you're carrying heavy loads all the time. Since you're primarily towing a fifth wheel, though, I think the standard LoadLifter 5000 is the better fit. It will provide the support you need when you're hooked up while also giving you a smoother ride when you're driving the truck unloaded.

For the compressor, I'd pair those air bags with the Air Lift WirelessONE Compressor System # AL25980EZ. It's one of my favorite compressor kits because it mounts neatly to the truck's frame, keeping everything tucked out of the way, and it lets you adjust the air pressure from the included remote or your smartphone using Bluetooth. I attached a photo so you can see what the installed compressor looks like.

The factory fifth wheel puck system on your 2025 Sierra 3500 will not interfere with installing the # AL57341. The air spring brackets are designed to work around the factory puck system, so you can keep your OEM fifth wheel prep package and still install the air bags without any issues.

Hello. I have a 13k fifth wheel, pulling it with a Chevy 2500. The airlift 5000 is more than enough. I would probably stay away from the air compressors unless you’re planning on pulling a lot, not a weekend warrior. It’s easy to inflate and deflate. Keep 7or so PSI in the bags when empty. Installing is not difficult, recommend using zip ties to compress the bag when installing then cut them and pull it out when you get it in place where the jounce bumper used to be. Good luck!

@Paul Nice call out with the zip ties Paul. I have only done the capped off fitting trick. And big thanks on the call out with keeping air in them, it is amazing how many people miss that part in the instructions.

I have it installed on my 2024 Silverado 2500HD which has the 3500HD chassis under it. It does not interfere with anything. I pull an Alliance Paradigm 385fl. I think it weighs loaded down around 18,000 give or take. Truck doesn’t squat at all and made the ride much better. I highly recommend it.
