Terminal Size for 4 AWG Wire on a Progressive Dynamics Converter

Updated 07/31/2026 | Published 07/22/2026

Question:

I have a PD4045PK and purchased the PD4045CSV from etrailer as a replacement converter for my lithium battery upgrade. I am looking to upgrade the wiring from the battery to the terminals on the mighty mini and wanting to know what terminal size fits properly? I am looking to upgrade to 4awg as I see other responses from your team indicate 4awg is the largest to use. Thank you.

Hey Blake!

Upgrading to 4 AWG wire is a great choice to run from your battery to the terminals on your power center. That'll help to minimize any voltage drop happening along the run of wire between the battery and the converter. You will use 1/4" eyelet terminals for the 4 AWG wiring to match up with the battery connections. You can use Spectro Ring Terminal # SWC57025 for that and you'll just want to make sure the cables are properly crimped and routed to protect from chafing. You'll also want to confirm your fuse or circuit breaker is sized appropriately for the wiring change.

How long is your battery cable run from the battery to the power center?

This unit worked great in my Lance 1181 it has the ability to charge lithium or led acid batterys I have a solar panel charger but agree with your choice in upgraded wiring. The panel and converter were a great match and E-trailer experts have given me great advice on my panel and flat tow needs

@Micheal We're so glad to hear that! How often do you get to take your camper out? What kind of truck do you install it on?

@Micheal That's a slick setup! I'm glad we were able to get you taken care of. You sound like you're always ready. How often do you get to camp in the Lance?
