Question:

Greetings ET, I’m looking for a 6 to 8 foot long, top quality propane, propane hose with - POL x 1/4 Male Inverted Flare. I purchased a lower-grade quality last time and it’s dry cracking. Thanks

Hey Trent! MB Sturgis is known for their quality so I recommend using one of their hoses as a replacement. We don't have any in the 6' - 8' range so the best option is the MB Sturgis Propane Pigtail Hose - POL x 1/4" Male Inverted Flare - 12' # 100019-144. It is a little long so you'll have some extra hose but everything else is going to be shorter. We have a 5' # 100019-60 but I'm assuming 6' is the minimum you need.

What kind of setup do you have?

Is there any low pressure flow concerns from the 12 length? My neighbor told me the longer the hose the worse the pressure as the tank gets lower? Thanks for the help.

@TrentG there isn’t a set length where pressure suddenly becomes a problem since it also depends on the hose diameter and how much propane the system is using. This is a 1/4" high-pressure hose feeding the regulator, and it's rated for up to 500,000 Btu per hour, so the 12' length will not cause any noticeable flow or pressure concerns with a typical RV propane system.
