Alternative for Fulton F2 Winch On Boat Trailer

Updated 07/13/2026 | Published 07/06/2026

Question:

I got a new boat and wanted to get a Fulton F2 two speed like I had on my last boat trailer. Seems theyve discontinued those, what a suitable replacement. I was orignally looking for the 3200lb version of the F2. Thanks! Eric

Hey Eric! Fulton is for sale right now so their parts aren't around, and we don't know when they'll be back. A great alternative for the Fulton F2 is the Jif Marine 2-Speed Boat Trailer Winch # 315-W3200D. It has the same 3,200 lb capacity, 2-speed operation, and even comes with a 20' winch strap and hook, so it's ready to install right out of the box.

What kind of boat did you get?

Hi Eric, I have a 1900 pound fiberglass boat and bought and installed the Jif 2 speed trailer winch a year ago. I am very impressed with the winch and in low speed, it will pull my boat up tight to the front rollers even on the dry carpeted slides. It also free wheels nicely to pull out the strap to attach to the boat when loading the boat back on the trailer. I did bolt the winch down with US made grade 5 bolts. You will not be sorry making this purchase. Ed
