Does AutoBrake have a lock-out feature for backing up with a trailer?

Hey Chuck, unlike with surge brakes you don't need to have a reverse lockout with the Autowbrake Electric Brake Controller # 3430001 or any electric brake controller because the brake controller does not interpret reversing as braking. Do you have a trailer that has had surge brakes?

@Dave My truck had on board trailer brake system. It failed and the factory was unable to repair. No one makes a brake controller to fit my truck. After much research, E trailer offered to try this controller. I did and I love this controller. Very easy to install. The smooth operation is excellent. Dave

Chuck. I’m not sure what you mean by lock out feature the brake controller I bought works just like the brake controller you install in your vehicle. Unless you press on the brakes or hit both buttons on your fob the brakes on the trailer will not engage.
