Is There Alternate Way to Mount Monitor of Furrion Vision S+
Updated 07/06/2026 | Published 06/25/2026 >
Question:
Hi, I have a Furrion Vision S+ system that came with my Scamp trailer. It works fine. This question is about mounting the display inside the Subaru Forester tow vehicle. Of course the most logical place for the display is to hang it on the existing vehicle rear view mirror. Then the display is exactly where you expect your rear viewinch to be not taking up any other space or blocking visibility. And this makes sense because when towing, the regular rear view mirror is not in use. Does Furrion supply any kind of hanging bracket or other part to hang the display on the rear view mirror when it is in use? If not, I can make something myself... Also, can the enormous suction cup ball and socket gizmo be removed from the display? All it is is in the way of properly mounting the display on the rear view mirror. I did not get any instructions with this device, so I dont want to start trying to pry that thing off and maybe damage something... Thanks. Tom

Hey Tom, at this time Furrion does not have any alternate mounting methods or options for the monitors of their systems like the part # FR39DF that you referenced. If you have an idea for one that you can come up with like you mentioned that would probably be your best option.

OK. Thanks. I can easily make a hanging bracket. Any ideas on the second question? Can the big suction cup ball and socket thing be removed from the display? I'm going to see if I can pry it off with some kind of sharp tool, but if there is a "right way" to remove that thing I would like to know. Thanks. Tom
