Hey Walter, do you have a budget in mind for a new AC unit? Unfortunately quiet and powerful are both premium features on RV AC units and the ones that really fit those two adjectives are on the more expensive end generally. The best quiet and powerful RV AC units are the Furrion Chill Cube units like the # FR39TD which are by far the quietest and coldest blowing while also drawing the lowest amount of current as well.

Thanks for the recommendation, Jameson. Since I have 50-amp service with pre-wired connections, I’m looking to assemble a full kit that includes the A/C unit and a hard-wired thermostat. I need a unit that is at least 13.5K BTU and compatible with my Grand Design’s existing track duct system. Ideally, the unit should allow for ducted airflow during the day but also include a dump feature for the master bedroom at night. I would prefer to avoid Furrion products based on my past experience with their reliability, so could you recommend an alternative brand or model that offers high-quality performance and fits these requirements?
