Question:

I am building a purple martin condo that will weigh over 100 pounds when completed. I need to raise and lower it on a 16 ft pole. Would the DL14934 do the job?

The Dutton-Lainson # DL14934 brake winch you mentioned would be an excellent choice for raising and lowering your bird house. You'll also need the cable, part # DL24045 and the cable fastener, part # DL24361.
