Looking For Replacement Wooden Slow-Close Lid And Bowl Seal For Dometic 410 Toilet

Updated 06/10/2026 | Published 06/01/2026

Question:

I just installed a Dometic 410 toilet and would like a better slow close wood seat. Do you sell one that will fit. Also I would like to order a backup bowl seal to have on hand. What is the stock number? Thanks

Hey Mark, thanks for reaching out. We do have to bowl seal for the Dometic 410, but I'm sorry to say we don't have any replacement seats for that model. Here is the part # for the seal:

- Replacement Flush Ball Seal for Dometic RV Toilet # DOM63FR

What rig are you outfitting?

I used the Dometic Ball Valve Seal for our porcelain Dometic toilet. I installed it about 5 months ago. I resorted to this official seal because I tried twice the generic cheaper seals from Amazon and those did not seal. I dropped one. These seals take lots of patience to get inserted correctly. I followed the directions exactly after having so much trouble. In the beginning I was also worried that the new Dometic Seal was not working because it was leaking ever so slightly (overnight). Yes. Prior to installation I repeatedly cleaned the seat and the ball valve (which I thought I may have marred). Over the next 3 to 4 days, the slow leak disappeared and the water in the bowl held. I suppose the seal expanded a little over time or the silicone needed to smooth out. Not sure, but luckily the seal is still holding. Good luck!

@RonP Thanks for sharing that, Ron. That's some really helpful feedback, especially for anyone considering one of the cheaper aftermarket seals. It's good to hear the genuine Dometic seal ended up sealing properly, even though it took a few days to fully seat and stop that slight overnight leak. I also appreciate you mentioning the installation process and the importance of cleaning the ball and seat surfaces beforehand. Real-world experiences like yours help set expectations and reassure others that a small leak immediately after installation doesn't necessarily mean the new seal has failed.
