Brake Controller Recommendation For Towing A 6x10 Cargo Trailer With A 2026 Chrysler Pacifica

Updated 06/05/2026 | Published 05/29/2026

Question:

Hi, Im looking for an electric or any type of brake setup for my 2026 Chrysler Pacifica Limited AWD, with a 6x10 Nitro Aluminum Trailer. Single Axle, and the Pacifica has the Factory Tow Package. What would you recommend? Thanks

Hi Dave!

Having the factory towing package on your 2026 Chrysler Pacifica definitely makes things a lot easier. The Redarc Tow-Pro Liberty Brake Controller w/ Custom Harness - Dash Knob - Up to 2 Axles - Proportional # RED24CR would be a superb choice and will be a plug and play brake controller. Granted, you will need to drill a small hole in an empty switch plate to mount the knob, but this is definitely the brake controller I would go with.

It looks like your Pacifica can tow up to 3,600 pounds (though I do recommend verifying this in your owner's manual) and the Tow-Pro Liberty will be able to handle any trailer your vehicle can. A 6x10 Nitro Aluminum Trailer with a single axle is well within that range as well, so I think it's the perfect controller for you. Plus it's easy to use and just works extremely well. Redarc is my go to for brake controllers.

What are you typically hauling in your Nitro?

I use this controller in my2017 Jeep Grand Cherokee Trailhawk to pull a double axle utility trailer cattying a 2500 lb side by side. The trailer has brakes on both axles and It works flawlessly. It was easy to install with the factory tow package and custom wiring harness. Very simple unit to operate.
