Can Deutsche Hydrapro Breakaway Battery Box Be Bottom Mounted

Hi Forrest; the breakaway that comes with the Deutsche Hydrapro Alpha G-1600 EOH Actuator # DH74FR is designed to be mounted upright with the side mounting holes. You would not want to mount the box on its side using those holes.

You could potentially drill in the bottom to mount it, but it wasn't designed that way or an approved installation method. If you're wanting the plug-and-play battery box this is currently the only option offered by Deutsche Hydrapro.

Robin thank you for getting back to me! I have another question is the junction box build into the breakaway battery box? If not, when you buy the kit, does it come with a junction box to join your brake lights and turn signals to the new plug wip? Thanks again!

@Forrest it does not have a junction box built into the battery box. If you look at the 7-way wiring harness it has a 5-way plug attached. It is designed around a trailer with an existing 4-way or 5-way, which would plug right into the wiring harness to connect your lights. The other connections run to the actuator and the breakaway.
