Question:

Hi my Water heater are broken. It’s a Atwood GC6AA-10E model. Do you have a new direct replacement heater? Regards Marcus Hultman

Hey Marcus! We have some options but technically none are a "direct replacement heater". I think we have one that will not require modification though!

If you want to stick with the same style with a tank, then the closest option is the one you were already looking at, being the Dometic RV Water Heater - 10,000 Btu - Propane/Electric - 6 Gallon Tank # DMC74FR. This requires a cutout of 12-7/8" tall x 12-7/8" wide x 19-1/2" deep which is very close to your old setup.

While that will work fine, I really would rather push you towards the more modern style of water heaters, which are the tankless water heaters. These are more efficient and will never run out of hot water since it heats water on demand, never running out. You could look into the Furrion RV Tankless Water Heater - 60,000 Btu - 16" x 16" Door # FR98SR which requires the following cutout space:

Between 12-3/4" to 12-13/16" of width
Between 12-5/8" to 12-3/4" of height
At least 23-1/2" of depth.

The other nice thing about the Furrion is that it doesn't need 120V AC power like the Atwood or Demco would require. The tankless options just use 12v dc power and the propane of course. Let me know what you think!
