Hello, neighbors and friends. I'm Steve here at etrailer.com. Today we're looking at this Valterra Replacement Window Frame for your RV entry doors. And this particular guy obviously is black in color and is designed for the exterior of the door. Now folks, what you'll do is the window frame here will replace your worn or damaged frame that you have on the exterior of your RV's entry door. So the most common things I've seen over time is dry rotted cracking over many, many, many years.
Maybe a tree hit it, maybe you hit something with the door, hail damage, those kind of things. Either way, you need to replace one. We've got the thing in here for you, right So this will again help protect your interior from the elements, obviously, you're gonna replace the glass, maybe the glass is broken, and every time you're gonna have to get a new frame. So the mounting screws, interior frame and glass are sold separately. So again, you're just getting this exterior frame itself.
Now it is made here in the USA. Now the manufacturer recommends replacing both the inner and the outside frames at the same time. And one thing I note whenever I was reading the instructions is you wanna make sure you use some butyl tape around the frame to seal it up. So butyl tape is basically like a kind of a putty tape, if you will. You put that on and then when you put this guy on, it kind of squeezes out together and then the screws go through that tape and then that gives you a nice weather tight seal.
And that is sold separately as well. I'll go ahead and throw the item number up on the screen, that way you have that as well. Now as far as some overall dimensions, this guy here is 15-3/4" wide from side to side and 24-3/4" tall from top to bottom. Now this will fit a 12" by 21" pane of glass. And I'm gonna zoom in here just so I can kind of show you the frame a little bit better on the inside so you can see all the holes and everything for mounting it.
And it's got that lip on it, obviously. And then as far as the exterior, it's a nice hard plastic, so it gets durable ABS plastic. And again, it's gonna be nice and sturdy for what you need it for. Good replacement product, fit perfectly! Make sure to purchase both interior and exterior even if you only need one or the other. It is very unlikely if you only purchase one side that the fastening pattern will be the same as the OEM.
I have received my product thank you very much and it's perfect I can say too much until I install it in my camper but it matches up with the old one so everything should fit great

Arrived quickly in good shape. It would have been nice to know that the interior piece should be ordered at the same time, or why not sell as a set. Instructions say they strongly recommend buying both at the same time. The screw holes on mine don’t line up with this new exterior piece, so it’s not an industry standard by any means. Buy both at the same time and you’ll be set!
Didn't work because the holes to attach it are in the wrong place
Appears to be well made, but warning. This replaces door frames with 12 mounting holes. The are frames with the exact same dimension that use 16 holes
Was easy to order and delivery only took a couple days.
The current trim has 4 mounting hose on the verticle sides and the Valterra only has three. IOt cannot be adapted. In coresponding to brea she said there is no way it will work.
On yourt websiodte there is another brand listed. It may be the one i need.
In additional i believe you also carray and insterirot piece for the Valterra. Per Brea nothing will work.
Very hard to beleive for a major RV parts distributor.

My Casita travel trailer front door window had slipped down.
I called Casita Parts and was told that door window frames come from etrailer.com. I called and talked Mike. He knew exactly what I needed along with Butyl tape foe sealing. Mike had my parts and shipped them the same day. Very pleased with inventory and fast shipping.
Be careful in purchasing this item! The bolt pattern maybe different than the one on your unit. VERY disappointed that etrailer DOES NOT know the bolt pattern or attempt to post it. Buyer be aware!!!

This replacement window frame is 15.75 inches wide x 24.75 inches tall and will fit with 12 inch wide x 21 inch tall glass. Once the frame is installed you can re-use mounting bolts or you can use the hardware that we carry, part # A7704812. The bolt pattern would not matter with this frame.
