A good water heater to replace your Atwood GC6AA/10E 6-gallon heater is the Dometic RV Water Heater - Gas and Electric - Automatic Pilot # DMC74FR.

Like your Atwood, this is a 6-gallon heater and requires a 12-3/4" tall x 12-3/4" wide x 19-7/8" deep cut out. You'll just want to verify the depth of your cut out because your Atwood needed a 12-5/8" tall x 16-1/4" wide x 17-5/8" deep cut out, so the # DMC74FR needs a bit more depth.
