Will Curt Hitch Fit 2026 Toyota Corolla Hybrid

Question:
hello, im considering picking up a 2026 toyota corolla hybrid. I noticed that your hitch does not fit the corolla AWD models. Is there any problems with fitment for the hybrid models? alrighty thanks so much bevan

Hello Bevan; the Curt Trailer Hitch # C34UR will fit the 2026 Toyota Corolla Hybrid. However, it must be the sedan, and it cannot be AWD. As long as you fit those requirements you can install this hitch.

I installed tne Curt hitch on my 2023 Corolla Hybrid sedan (FWD). The fit with the existing frame went smoothly, completed in my driveway with the rear end of the car jacked up. The instruction to cit amd install the aero device did not seem like it would work easily. The access to the securing fasteners seemed less than obvious. The wiring harness requires independent power from the battery. Once installed the hitch and wiring harness worked well, including towing a VW dune buggy for 300 miles along I-40 in CA. The rsted capacities of hitch, receiver, and ball should be considered when renting trailers from U-Haul or other commercial groups. Toyota lists a 1,500 pound towing capacity. The Curt hitch is rated at 2,000 pounds. My two receivers are rated at 3,500 pounds, and a typical 2-inch ball is around 5,000 pounds. I plan a rental of a 4 by 8 U-haul trailer, however, I have no idea how they will interpret the potential tow. Time will tell.
