Question:
Hello, I have a 1720lbs harbor freight folding utility trailer 4’x8’ part 62671. I understand that the bearing size is metric and unique. Can you help with multiple options that I have to change the axle to something standard? Hub to hub outer 57” Leaf to leaf center 47” 5 on 4.5 bolt pattern. Thank you.

Hey Roshun, thanks for reaching out.
You’re correct that bearings are unique and need to be an exact size. The majority of trailers use standard bearing sizes, but Harbor Freight tends to do their own thing when it comes to bearings and axle setups.
I checked our available axles, and we don’t have one with the same hub-face and spring-center measurements as yours. We do, however, have the Timbren Axle-Less Trailer Suspension w/ Idler Hubs # A20RS545. This setup would replace both your axle and leaf springs.
If you’d rather stick with a traditional axle setup, my best recommendation would be to reach out to a local trailer shop so they can order an axle built to the exact dimensions you need.

I bought the axle-less suspension (2000) lb for a 17.5 boat trailer. The flanges for mounting bent when I lowered boat and wheels now hit the side of my boat. Granted I did not have a cross bar joining the two axles, but was told by E- Trailer i would not have to. Be careful on the size you order that it will do what you want wieght wise.
