Question:

Hi,I have an older Blizzard by Road King flat snowmobile trailer that I want to use for my UTV now. It has t-slot rails. In the middle of the trailer as well as on each side lip.How do I determine what to buy to slide into those slots so I can utilize them to secure my UTV? I have pictures if it would help. Thanks

Hey Kevin, welcome back! What you'll want to do is measure the width of the t-slot channel at the opening and the depth of the channel from the top of the crossbar/rail to the bottom of the channel.

T-slots are typically what you see in crossbars for roof racks. E Track rails like item # e25VR are what you would want to use to secure a snow mobile or anything in a trailer for that matter.

I'm wondering if this is what you have. I attached a picture below of the item # e25VR. If this is what you end up having you could use the Erickson E Track Strap with Ratchet item # EM59136 to secure your snow mobile.

I have used E Track and Erickson Chock /Straps to haul 4 wheelers and SxS buggies on 3 different trailers. The tires strap down quickly and easily and stay in place. No suspension damage from anchoring the frame, either. Highly recommended.

I used the E Track system to haul a Smart Car on a flatbed trailer behind my motorhome. It was a very secure setup. It took some time getting the correct measurements so the track would line up with the tires on the Smart Car. Once that was done it worked well. However one of the drawbacks is if you haul different variety of units I.e. cars, side by side, 4 wheelers…it doesn’t always matchup.
