Question:
I have a 2019 east to west della terra 261rb travel trailer. Need to replace my leaf springs. The dealer says i need 26” eye to eye 4 springs . D072-078-00. Replace U-bolts, shackle bolts, and shackle straps probably a good idea. What parts do you recommend? Thank you

Hey Gary. If your leaf spring is pn D072-078-00 you don't need a 26" long leaf spring. You need the 25-1/4" item # DX95CR, which is the exact replacement leaf spring. I verified this information with Dexter to confirm.
Leaf springs stretch out over years of use so if your dealer didn't lift up your trailer and measure one of your leaf springs with the weight off of them that would explain the 26" measurement. You definitely don't want to install a leaf spring that's 3/4" longer. You'll add an extra 1-1/2" of travel to each side of your suspension, which will totally throw off the geometry.
The 4-Leaf Double-Eye Spring item # DX95CR is 25-1/4" long, with 4-leafs, and is designed for 4,400 lbs axles like the ones on your 2019 East to West Della Terra 261rb travel trailer.
For replacement U-Bolts, I recommend the U-Bolt Kit item # APUBR-8. 4,400 lbs axles have a 3" diameter tube. You'll need one set per axle.
When you swap out your leaf springs, you'll definitely need to switch out your hardware as those suspension bolts are only meant to be torqued down once. You'll want to pick a kit with the closest size to your current shackle straps.
I don't know what size shackles you have, so I'll need you to take a quick measurement of one of yours. You'll need to measure from the center to the center of the suspension bolts on one of them. You do not need to lift your trailer up.
The MORryde Suspension Upgrade Kit for Tandem Axle Trailers item # MR46ZR is for 2-1/4" shackles or item # MR76ZR is for 3-1/8" shackles. These kits come with the bronze bushings, wet bolts and shackle straps.
Do you know why the dealer said you needed a 26" long leaf spring when you had the D072-078-00 part number?
