Why Isn’t My RV Charge Line Working Through the 7-Way?

Updated 04/17/2026 | Published 04/13/2026

Question:

I have a 2026 Maverick hybrid, and I hooked the BX88453 charging line to the battery as instructed, the connected the other end to the 7-pin plug going to my RV. I have now led lights whatsoever, which indicates no power. Any ideas?

Hey Fred, thanks for reaching out. What’s probably going on here isn’t the wiring, it’s that you’re not actually getting power from the 7-way. That charge line only works if the 12V pin on your RV’s 7-pin is live, and a lot of setups either don’t have that circuit active, have a blown fuse, or only send power under certain conditions. The LEDs won’t light up unless there’s voltage coming from that side, so if it’s dead, it’ll look like nothing is happening.

I’d start by checking if you’ve actually got 12V at the 7-way with a test light or meter. Also make sure your ground is solid and check for any fuses or relays tied to the charge circuit. Some vehicles won’t send power unless they’re running too, so that’s worth keeping in mind. If there’s no power at the plug, the # BLU44ER charge line can’t do anything no matter how it’s wired.

What kind of RV are you towing your Maverick with?
