Can I Replace a Dometic 301 Toilet w/a Dometic 411 RV Toilet?

Updated 04/14/2026 | Published 04/12/2026

Question:

Hello , I have the domestic 301, and I am wandering if this could be a good replacement for it. I do not see the whole on the floor. Any differences for the installation ? Thank you

It sure would Irene! The Dometic 411 RV Toilet item # DMC84JF would indeed be a good replacement for a Dometic 301 like item # DOM24FR. It's going to install the same way and match your current toilet flange. It'll drop right onto the flange and secure with the same type of mounting hardware. The water line is also the same size.

The Dometic 411 RV Toilet item # DMC84JF requires a rough-in clearance of 7–5/8". This is the distance from the wall behind the toilet to the center of the flange. Your Dometic 301 like item # DOM24FR currently has a 8-3/4" rough-In so no worries on rough-in clearance.

We also have the Dometic 411 RV Toilet item # DMC74JF, which is the same one you were looking at except it's white.

What has you looking to upgrade your toilet and what kind of trailer do you have?
