Hi, everybody. Andy here with etrailer. Let's take a quick look at this Dometic 401 Low-Profile White Plastic RV Toilet. Now this is a lightweight, space-efficient RV toilet. It's designed to give you a more residential feel while being durable enough for long-term RV use. Now, before we go any farther, I'd like to give you a closeup here and give you some measurements just so you can be confident that this is going to work for you.

So beginning with the height, measuring at the tallest point here, we're sitting right at about 15 and 1/4 inches tall. And then some of our neighbors ask us the measurements from the floor to the actual seat. And that measurement looks like we're at about 13 and 1/2 inches tall. And then the width here, right at about the widest point, pretty close to 15 inches wide. And then the depth might be a little bit trickier to show you, but I just want to give you a good idea here, lining that up as best as I can.

Let's call it about 17 and 3/4 inches deep. So this toilet features an all plastic round bowl, this is gonna be lighter than porcelain alternatives, of course, it's gonna be a good fit for RV's where weight matters. And even though it's compact, it does give you a residential chair height seat, as we saw, making it more comfortable to use than many standard RV toilets. One of the standout features is the gravity spray flush system. That's going to give you full bowl coverage for a cleaner flush while using less water than traditional designs.

That's gonna be especially helpful for conserving fresh water and extending holding tank capacity during trips. And for convenience, we do have that foot pedal flush. You see me operating in here right now. You see the valve action there in the bowl. Then going back to our closeup view here, see the pedal flush there.

So that's gonna, of course, allow for hands-free operation. And as you can see, we have a soft close lid feature. It's closing slowly but very smoothly, so you're not gonna have to worry about the lid and the seat slamming down shut in the middle of the night, waking everybody up or potentially hurting little fingers in the process. So this also includes a detent hold feature, which is going to help keep it in position when needed. Installation's gonna be pretty straightforward because it uses a universal two bolt mounting system that's going to fit standard seven and 5/8th inch rough-ins and the compact rear profile's gonna make it easier to install in smaller bathrooms where space is limited. From a reliability standpoint, the manufacturer redesigned the internal valve system with reinforced sealing and sonic weld construction. So this is gonna help reduce the risk of internal leaks and prevent contamination between fresh and wastewater systems. The toilet has been tested through 1000, I'm sorry, 150,000 flush cycles. So that speeds to its long-term durability. Maintenance is another strong point. Common wear items can be replaced by most owners without professional help. The ball seal can be replaced without tools. The compact hinge design makes cleaning easier and many of the most commonly serviced parts are gonna be readily replaceable as DIY repairs.
