Hey Michael, thanks for reaching out. The physical difference between the ducted and ductless systems isn’t the rooftop unit, those are exactly the same, it’s how the air gets delivered inside. The non-ducted setup uses an interior air box that just dumps cold air straight down into the cabin from that one spot. It’s simple, everything happens right there at the ceiling opening, and you’ll feel a strong blast of air directly under it.

The ducted version is set up to tie into ceiling ductwork instead of blowing straight down. So the air gets pushed into those ducts and comes out through vents around the RV. Install-wise, you’re dealing with a different interior assembly that directs airflow into the ducts instead of into the room, but the cooling unit itself is the same.

Are you looking to replace the AC on your RV? Is your ducted or ductless?
