Could Trailer Valet JXC Be Used In Place of Jack with 4 Bolts on Older Camper

Question:
I’m interested in the trailer valet JXC jack with the round mounting base. I have a vintage 1963 camper that needs a new jack. The mounting base is round with 4 bolts. Would this jack fit? I see it mounted with 3 bolts. It does have a triangular tongue hitch. Thanks

Hey Marsha, this is a really great question that I don't have a good answer for unfortunately. The Trailer Valet JXC Trailer Jack w/ Footplate and Drill Powered Option # TV94FR that you referenced does have multiple mounting holes so there's a chance you could get lucky and you'd be able to line up your 4 bolts to it but I can't promise it would work. This was designed for fitting a 3 bolt setup like the standard that you see on trailers now but you might get lucky like I said but worst case scenario you could drill new holes in the flange of the jack.

It has bolt holes on four areas of the plate, but only three are centered and one side has two that are on either side of center. Hope that makes sense? It’s a nice jack.

This is a very good jack. The side crank handle is by far easier than the old top crank handles, but the normal drill motor will not lift a loaded trailor's tongue weight. I use the same impact wrench, that I use for lug nuts, should I need to change a tire. The really heavy lifting has to be done with the hand crank, but is not near as hard as the older top crank handles. NOW, to your main "Q", will it fit? The round mounting plate on the jack has multiple holes, arranged in a number of bolthole patterns, but only "trial & error" will reveal whether it will bolt up or not. Sorry I'm not able to be more specific.
