Replacement Hubs and Brakes for Dexter 2,800 lb Axle

Question:

I have a dexter 2800lb axle with 5X4.5 drums 8-418 099 marked on them. The brakes are marked 023-472-00. Can I replace with B10ae-22 brakes axletec 10-gg and drums axletec 19-100

Hey Donny! Do you know what bearings are in that hub? It looks like that is a Dexter 3k hub with # L44649 outer and # LM67048 inner bearings so those parts designed around a #84 spindle on a 3,500 lb axle aren't going to work.

Assuming that matches what you have there, the # DX62KR is the only option we have for a replacement hub. This is a 10" x 1-1/2" drum so the # K23-472-473-00 would be the correct brakes to match that.
