I have a new 2026 forest river 17scbl and I’m looking into the heat optional mode on my a/c unit is this heat strip compatible?

Hey Greg, congrats on your new trailer. What kind of AC unit does your Forest River have? Forest River doesn't post what specific AC system you have and I can't tell what it is by your picture.

The Furrion Heat Strip Add-On item # FR35SR fits the older model Furrion Chill manual ac systems. If you could give me a model or part number off of your AC, I'll be able to tell if the Furrion item # FR35SR will work or see if we have one that does.

It is a Furrion chill Model number facro8hesa2-bl That’s according to the paperwork that came with it I haven’t pulled the top off to confirm

@Greg Thanks for the information! That is exactly what I need. Your facro8hesa2-bl is one of the new 8K BTU Furrion Chill units and as of 02/26/26 they do not have a compatible heat strip for it. I haven't heard when or if they're going to be making one. The newer AC's, like yours, switched to R32 refrigerant in 2025 and none of the components are backwards compatible with the AC systems that have the 410a refrigerant. The only heat strips currently available are for the older 410a systems.
