Can Thule Canyon Basket Fit Crossbars of 2025 Subaru Crosstrek Wilderness

Question:
I have a 2025 Crosstrek Wilderness. I have no intention of sleeping on top of my car no rooftop tent in my future, and do not otherwise intend to carry anything that would amount to more than 150 lbs in a rooftop basket. Subaru wants Wilderness owners to purchase something like over $1200 worth of Thule stuff to mount a cargo basket on my vehicle. That is not appropriate for my intended use. I purchased the Subaru-distributed Aero crossbars and am thinking about the Thule Canyon XT basket. In order to get the Aero bars close to level with each other, I had to mount them very close to the front rail supports with the rear bar close to back of the middle supports. They are 29inch apart on center. I have no option with regard to moving them. Would the Canyon Basket work?

Hey Richard, the Thule Canyon Basket part # TH859XT that you referenced will work for your 29 inch crossbar spread as this was designed to work with crossbar spreads that are between 20 and 37 inches. This is a really nice basket that will work great for you! What are you planning on carrying?
