Question:

I have a question regarding the Ignik propane fire hose that comes with all the Ignik fire boxes. It is too short!!….. 5 ft. only!! It seems “proprietory” with regards to the quick connect fitting at the one end of the propane hose, so I’m not sure if there is another choice if I want a 10 or 12 ft. hose? Is there? I see the “12 ft propane hose adapter” but that does not have the “quick connect” at one end…. so I’m not sure how to make that work. We DO have a 5 lb. tank so the 5 ft. hose would work… however, it would be nice to have the longer hose to use with a 20lb tank… set far away so I can’t see it! You folks are great.. .although I live in Canada, I HAVE purchased from your site. Love your service and your videos explaining things! Any help with this would be appreciated. Thanks!

Hey Sandra! It is possible to extend the hose on the Ignik FireCan Deluxe Portable Propane Fire Pit # GN67FR. Ignik doesn't have a specific hose but you can use the MB Sturgis Dual Quick Disconnect Propane Hose for Small Appliance # 100395-120-MBS.

This has a quick disconnect on both ends so you can connect it to the Ignik hose with the regulator. It is 10' long so you will have 15' of hose altogether. There is a 6' # 100395-72-MBS as well but I think it is typically best to be on the long side so you have it if you need it.

Where do you plan to use your FireCan most this season?

hello Robin…. now THAT was super helpful!!! There are SO many propane hoses with SO many connect options!!! We are in Canada so will use this set-up camping in various provinces… with our Ignik Elite. Great for the 2 of us and to use when open fires are forbidden. thanks for your assistance!

@Sandra I’m really glad it helped! Propane fittings can definitely get confusing fast, so I’m happy we could sort it out. The longer hose will make a big difference, especially being able to tuck that 20 lb tank out of sight while you’re camping. The Ignik Elite is perfect for those burn-ban situations.
