does this include a rubber piece for the tailgate? if so, how is it affixed to the tailgate?

Hey Jake, welcome back! The DeeZee Custom-Fit Truck Bed Mat item # DZ46GJ does not include the Truck Tailgate Mat item # DZ65GJ. The DeeZee item # DZ46GJ only includes the truck bed mat that is custom fit for the 2020 GMC Sierra 1500 with a 5-3/4', 6-1/2', and 8' long beds.

The Truck Tailgate Mat item # DZ65GJ is attached to the tailgate with 14 screws that are included. We actually installed this mat on a Silverado 1500 and made a video. I linked it below so you can see how to get the Tailgate Mat item # DZ65GJ installed.

I do not have an alternative rubber mat that does not require drilling into the tailgate.
