5th Wheel Hitch Visibility with BAKFlip MX4 Tonneau BAK48204 Installed on 2018 Ram 3500 Long Bed

Question:

On a ram 3500 with it folded so I can tow my fifth wheel RV how thick is it? Would I be able to see my hitch in my truck to hook up?

You can get a sense for how much visibility you'll have on your 5th wheel hitch with a tonneau cover folded up near the cab by viewing the linked image. The BAKFlip MX4 Hard Tonneau Cover # BAK48204 that fits your 2018 Ram 3500 long bed will be about 5-inches tall when folded up and it will hide about the first foot of the bed behind the cab. You can place a strip of masking tape across the bed at about this point behind the cab to serve as one marker.

Since your hitch head will be centered just slightly forward of the rear axle and will be about a foot or so above the bed you can have a helper hold another marker of some type about a foot over the rear axle. If you can see over the tape to this point then you know you will have a view of the hitch head with the cover installed and folded up flat as in the photo.
