Good afternoon, I’m purchasing an off-road travel trailer, about 6500 with a 650 tongue weight, it uses a do35 hitch with a 1” hole, what would you recommend? Preferably with cushion.

Hey Justin! The Gen-Y Voyager Torsion-Flex 1-Ball Mount # GY92JJ you were looking at would be a great option and the one I recommend. This takes a 1" diameter shank so it will work with your DO35 tow pin.

The tongue weight capacity for towing is 1,000 lbs so it can handle that 650 lb tongue weight and then some. Gen-Y makes really durable products so it will be great for off-roading as well.

@JustinS good question. The necessary rise/drop depends on your hitch and where the trailer coupler sits. If you don't have that information I would ask the trailer manufacturer to see if they can get it for you. I attached a help article which explains how to measure and calculate rise/drop for your reference. It would be a good idea to find that before moving forward and deciding on a mount since they vary. For example, you could use the # 325-GH-12005 with a 6" drop that has some adjustability but that might be too much or not enough depending on your setup.
