Hello, everybody. This is Jeff at etrailer.com. Today we're gonna take a look at this Optronics Round Fusion X LED Hardwired Stop Tail Turn and Backup Trailer Light. Has a red and a clear X lens. Now, this is a round trailer tail light, has a nice, smooth, bright red exterior. Serves four functions, and I'm gonna go through those functions.
I have it hooked up to some 12 volt power, just to show how bright the light is. But we'll first do a tail light function. So if I turn on my 12 volt power, you can see the tail light comes on. Go ahead and turn off. And there, you can see the tail light function.
And then when you apply your brakes, you'll be able to see that that outer band of light will brighten up. And then, when you hit your turn signals, you can see that outer band will flash. And then what's really unique is the inner X portion there is white LEDs. And I'm gonna show you when you go into reverse what happens. You'll see that the white X comes on to let you know that you're in the backup mode.
Now, this is 20 LEDs. It is sonically sealed waterproof housing. Gonna disconnected it here so we can look at the back of it. But if you look at the back, it's sonically sealed waterproof housing and lens unit. It is submersible.
It does use the durable SMT technology, which is Surface Mount Technology. It's a construction of the LED circuit board. It'll better withstand shock and vibration, allows for improved heat distribution. And they do use LEDs in this light, which make great replacements for incandescent lights. They'll last 50 times longer. LEDs are more efficient, 'cause they'll provide brighter light with less power output. And of course, no bulbs to replace or brittle filaments to break. And you do have a lifetime warranty on the LEDs. The red lens you can see is set inside the white lens with the red and white LEDs. The red lens with the red LEDs is for the tail light stop and turn. And then the clear X lens here has the white LEDs for your backup light. It is a flush mount design. Has the built-in black flange here with the screw holes. Now, the hardware to install this is not included. You would have to supply that. You can see the back of the light, it is hardwired ready to install the wire length on these pigtails, about eight inches. This light is DOT, Department of Transportation, compliant. It will meet the Federal Motor Vehicle Safety Standard 108 requirements for automotive lighting. Now, on the back you'll have four wires. You'll have your black, that's for your power, your tail light. You'll have your white, which is your ground. You'll have your red, which is your stop and turn. And then you'll have the brown wire, which is your backup. Now, the voltage on this works on 12 volt system. Few dimensions. We're gonna give you you the overall diameter on this light, including the mounting edge. Mounting flange is five and a half inches in diameter. Depth on it is only about one inch deep. And the light face, just the light itself, if we measure the diameter there, is about four and a quarter inches. But that should do it for the review on the Optronics Round Fusion X LED Hardwired Stop Tail Turn and Backup Trailer Light.

Good all-in-one lights replaced my old old incandescent lights. Really visible. Works great. Plastic housing seems like it could be susceptible to damage.
These work great and fixed the problem with my truck and its trailer management system. I was having issues with a cheaper set I ordered from another site. My truck's fancy trailer management system would think there was a fault and cut power to the trailer lights. I replaced the lights with these and so far so good. Thank you!

Added this to our Arcimoto that we converted to a flatbed. The electronics is driven by Pulse Width Modulation coding in an MRS Module and we don’t have the code. So we had to buy these with less draw (due to less LEDs). They work perfectly. The backups work perfectly (which it had none but the wiring was there). Probably the best lit Arcimoto in the world :) High quality. Fit in the grommet and bracket from another set of lights that had too much draw - so that shows these are very standard size. Pics show no backup, then backup. They are bright!
These are a perfect replacement for the old lights on my Aliner. Had them wired up in not time. The only thing that presented a problem is that they mount flush. This means that the wires have to line up with wiring holes on a camper. With an Aliner there is one hole for each side, but they are offset to the right. My solution for this is to make risers with cutaways for the wires to run in to the offset holes. I'm using plastic cutting board material to make the risers.
