Question:

Looking for replacement vent lid cover would like metal if possible instead of plastic. 2008 outback i do have a couple pict if needed

Hello Tonya, thanks for reaching out. We do carry one metal vent lid part # BV0534-00 that fits a standard 14"x14" roof vent. Typically, it is best to compare this to the current lid. There is no way to add pictures to the comments on here, but you are welcome to email those pictures to me. My email is [email protected].

Basically, I will need to see the underside of the lid to make sure the lift arm attaches the same. The # BV0534-00 has the attachment point for the lift arm right in the middle. See the picture I included below. As long as the current lid attaches the same you can be sure it will work.

The dome style, although easy to install, cracked and split in the Arizona sun within 1 year. I will have to replace both of them, and will go to a metal vent. I just have concerns with the metal vent cover shown, shedding water since they are flat.

@BobB Hello Bob! Yes a metal vent cover is definitely a good call for the Arizona sun. The cover collecting water really should not be a problem. True it will not shed water as well as a dome, but water pooling on top is just not something we run into with these. Once it stops raining just crack the lid slightly and any water will run right off.
