Question:
I’m looking at item AL88275 for my towing application with my 2004 2500HD GMC Sierra Duramax. I frequently tow a 6000 lb travel trailer with a WDH. My goal is to reduce the wear on the factory suspension and improve ride comfort. Please provide your recommendations and thoughts. Thanks.

Hi John!
The Air Lift LoadLifter 5000 Ultimate Air Helper Springs # AL88275 will be a great choice for your 2004 GMC Sierra 2500HD Duarmax and actually what I was going to recommend. Just be aware these will not fit if you have the Quadrasteer option.
Air bags are almost always my go to because of their adjustability. It just makes life easier when towing. These will have plenty of capacity for your load and the internal jounces/bump stops, you can run them at 0 psi. This means there will be little to no affecting your unloaded ride. I think you will be very happy with them.
One thing to note, make sure you set the air bags before setting up your weight distribution system (which will likely need to be readjusted a little).
What kind of travel trailer do you have?
