If you switch between trailers with different tongue heights, this mount makes keeping them level simple. The adjustable platform slides along the shank in 1" increments, giving you up to a 10" drop or an 11" rise. Once you’ve locked it in with the included dual pins, your setup stays solid and tracks true, whether it’s a flatbed one day or a camper the next.
For serious loads, you need gear that doesn’t flex or flinch. The 2-5/16" stainless steel hitch ball is rated for 12,500 lbs gross towing weight, and the 2" ball handles up to 8,000 lbs. Both balls are SAE J684 certified and VESC Regulations V-5 compliant, giving you verified strength you can count on when hauling big weight down the highway.
No more juggling loose hitch balls. The stainless-steel double-sided tow ball lets you flip between the 2" and 2-5/16" sizes fast—just remove the pins, flip the platform, and pin it back in place. It’s an easy way to go from a small utility trailer to a heavy hauler without carrying extra parts or tools.
When you’re done towing, flip the platform under and out of sight. The stowable design keeps the ball mount tucked beneath your bumper so it doesn’t catch shins or stick out awkwardly. Reinsert the dual pins to lock it in place for travel—you can leave it installed full time without getting in your way.
Long trips and bad weather won’t slow this one down. The shank and platform are machined from tough 6061 T6 billet aluminum that’s both lightweight and strong, while the stainless-steel hitch balls resist corrosion from salt and road grime. It’s a clean, durable setup that stays looking good season after season.

Hi, everybody. Andy here with etrailer.com. Let's take a look at this Weigh Safe 180 Hitch with Two Ball Mount for your Two Inch Hitch Receiver. This 180 hitch is going to slide into your two inch hitch receiver. And this is going to give you a two inch and a two and five 16ths inch double-sided stainless steel tow ball, making switching the tow ball size is very easy. This is also going to give you a maximum of a 10 inch drop in this orientation.
And then when you flip this over, you'll get a maximum 11 inch rise. And then you'll have incremental adjustments of one inch. And so this is going to give you that height adjustability that you are going to need to tow trailers with different heights with the same vehicle. Now this does have a gross towing weight with the two and five 16ths inch hitch ball of 12500 pounds. The two inch ball is 8000 pounds.
The maximum tongue weight is 1500 pounds. This hitch is constructed of aircraft grade aluminum that's gonna give you that superior strength and durability. The solid block construction is gonna give you greater strength than some hollow steel options, while maintaining a light weight. So this is going to be rust proof. This finish is going to remain clean and looking good.
It's gonna stand the test of time. The stainless steel hitch balls are obviously gonna be corrosion resistant, so this is gonna be a great option to consider. If you're gonna be around the water frequently, it's gonna be great to use with your boat trailer, for instance. And this does feature a dual pin slider lock that's going to make adjusting the height and switching the tow ball sizes very easy. And I just wanna give you a brief demonstration of how easy this is gonna be to swap out.
As you can see, this does include this rubber cover that's gonna protect the lock core from dust and debris. So I went ahead and removed that cover. And you are going to get four keys here. And the keys are all gonna be keyed alike, so you can use the keys for the dual pin lock or the hitch lock, which I'll talk about in just the next minute or so. So I went ahead inserted the key and I turned that. I'm just gonna go ahead and slide the pins out here. So this is dual pin, and the pins are aluminum. The housing is aluminum. And then that lock is a plated steel lock. So this is going to resist corrosion as well. And so you can just see how easy this is going to be to slide this up and down. And then if you want to change the ball size, you'll just slide it off, and then replace it after you flip it over so now I can use the two and five 16ths inch hitch ball. Then another nice feature is you can stow this as well. So if you don't need to use the balls at that time and you don't need tow, then you can just slide this behind, and then line up those holes and replace the pins. And so you're not gonna have to worry about banging your shin or anything like that when you're walking behind the truck because that ball mount will be stowed away. So that's a really nice feature that's included here. So as you see, you're not going to be struggling at the back of your vehicle, changing the the tow ball size or adjusting the height that you need. Everything slides very smoothly. And so I'm just gonna line up these holes here and replace my pins, and then turn that key. And then now we're locked into place. I'm gonna replace my cover there. So as I mentioned, you are going to get a total of four keys. They are keyed alike, and this does include this hitch lock here. So a very simple operation. Again, turn key, and just pull that off like that. And what I like about this lock is the head is now locked, and so you're not going to need to keep the key in the head of the lock to lock this. So I'm just gonna run this back through. And then as you can see, that just secures back into place and then you'll just need to keep to unlock it again. So I do like that feature, where you don't need to keep the key in the lock to lock this back up. As you can see, we do have a cap there to keep that keyway clear and free of debris. So that's a great option that's included with this. So this is definitely going to be secured on the back of your vehicle. And just some measurements for you that I took before our time together. Measuring from the center of the hitch ball to the center of our first hitch pin hole is gonna be right at about eight and a half inches. And then the second hitch pin hole, about nine and five eighths inches. And then the measurement from the second hitch pin hole to the end of the shank, about one in seven eights inches. So again, everything will be keyed alike here. One key for everything. Then you'll get a total of four keys. This is V5 and J684 certified. And I think that's gonna wrap up our look today. I do hope that it was helpful for you. Again, my name is Andy. Thank you for joining me.

I would have given it 5 stars if I could open my GM flex tailgate. Oh so close but still a nice piece!
This mount is an amazing piece of engineering. My father was a machinist and I know he would be impressed. It functions flawlessly with all of my various trailers, and even looks great on my truck. The order was processed and shipped super fast, arriving within a few days. Great job and hats off to etrailer.com !!!
The weigh safe hitch. Quality made very nice hitch.
Much lighter than my bulletproof just what I need when pulling my utility trailer.
PERFECT. EXACTLY WHAT I WANTED.
Great hitch. Easily adjustable
Makes a little more noise (rattle) than my all steel non adjustable hitch
Arrived quickly and in perfect shape. Very robust hitch and fits perfectly. Highly recommend this hitch.
High quality. Website videos helped with selection decision. Decent price. Fast shipping
Easy to install sturdy towing platform. Like that ths ball mount can be stowed out of the way.
After 3 months one of the trailer chains bonds against the hitch while taking a shape turn and bent the key to flip the receiver ball. So we are basically stuck with a 2 5/16 receiver since it cannot be opened and flipped. Aluminum is nice but weak at the same time.
Work horse and light weight. Comes with key locks keyed alike for hitch and ball. Stainless steel ball ensures durability for towing long term.
Very solid and beautifully finished. Fits well on my 2016 Ram 2500 4x4, with the newer 2-1/2" receiver, allowing the exact height necessary to level my toy hauler. Ball mount is packaged in foam to ensure it is pristine when it arrives.
Got the locking dual pin for it, as well as the BOLT locks for hitch and coupler, so none of this pretty stuff walks away. Very happy with the whole setup.
A little mixup on the initial order was corrected immediately, so I had all the parts I needed in time to hit the road. Thanks etrailer team!
Been looking for a while on a new hitch and finally pulled the trigger. Etrailer made it fast and easy to get the hitch I wanted at a fair price.
The 180 Weigh Safe is an excellent adjustable hitch. Exceptional fit and finish.
Fast shipping as always! While I haven't had the chance to use this hitch yet, it looks like a high-quality product straight out of the box. I plan to test it this weekend and will update this review if I remember after putting it to use.
Would say WOW ! Excellent communication from the second order was placed , tracking from start to finish. Super packing job and way quick delivery . Product is great , heavy built and easy to change based on what trailer I need to use . Wish I had bought one years ago !
worked just fine. easy to adjust. will work for both trailers of different hitch height
Good product feels very sturdy. My only critique is that it has too much play causing a lot of rattling. The manufacturer should have a tightening bolt so that after installation the two components tighten up and there’s no play.
Hitch works well. Seems it could be a bit tighter when in receiver on truck but overall is a good purchase.
Great price outstanding quality and had it to my front door in less than 48 hours!
This is a solid hitch, the double pin on the ball side locks everything in tight no rattling and love the locking mechanism on this unit… Price is excellent and delivery time wasn’t that long… Great job to you guys at etrailer
Great product. Craftsmanship is top notch.
Easy to use and very sturdy built. My only complaint is the standard coated Balls rusted pretty quickly and look bad. I Should have went with the upgraded stainless steel. Also the salt from 1 winter has left some corrosion on the aluminum of the hitch and the sticker fell off. None of these things affect the function, but i wish it would have stayed looking as nice as it did when it was new.
Great work thanks
