Looking for Replacement Awning for 2020 Forest River Surveyor Legend, model 242RBLE

Question:

I have a 2020 Forest River Surveyor Legend, model 242RBLE. Last fall, while having a guest stay in the trailer, the awning suffered a catastrophic failure during a rain storm. The right arm collapsed and destroyed the arm. It was night and the guest was not able to get in. With no time or day light to work on the problem, I cut the entire awning off after removing the awning roller. It was a Solera awning but the arms are mounted 21’ apart, center to center. Your diagram and description state 20’ is the largest. Does the 20’ awning fit properly in a 21’ span?

Hey Wade, based on the dimension you listed the correct replacement awning kit would be the part # LCV000335015-362241 which is 21 feet between the center of the arms like you measured.

I appreciate the response. I had to ask as the diagram showing the 20’ appears to show it from the centerline to centerline of the rails. Not the awning fabric.

@WadeS Sorry about that. Actually I was incorrect and you would need the part # LCV000335015-362241. At one point we had it listed based on the actual width of the awning fabric and not the distance between the arms.
