Question:

I have 14 inches depth including the door frame. Will the trim kit give more depth? How much distance needs to be behind the unit for ventilation? It appears that it is cheaper to buy the trim kit separately than with the unit with it included? Thank you.

Hi Jim; the trim kit # FR22TD does not give more depth or alter the required cutout size. The Furrion Built-In RV Convection Microwave and Air Fryer # FR82TD requires a cutout that is 16-1/8" deep, so with the overall dimensions of 19" wide x 13-3/8" tall x 15-1/8" deep you need an additional 1" behind it for ventilation.

The cutout needs to be 14-5/8" tall x 21-7/16" wide x 16-1/8" deep for this to fit. You will have to expand your depth to use this unit. Also yes, it does look like you save money picking the two up separately at this time.

Hey Jim, how did things go with fitting the Furrion convection microwave into your 14-inch space? Were you able to make the depth adjustment for the ventilation clearance? Your update could make it easier for others working with tight cabinet dimensions.
