Can Parkit360 Transformer PA66VR Work For 2,000 lb Pin Weight On Packed Gravel?

Question:

Will the Parkit 360 Transformer move a Brinkley z3100 on packed gravel? Trailer would be empty and weigh around 13k with maybe 2k in tongue weight. It also has a Gen Y gooseneck hitch. Is it compatable?

Hello Eric, thanks for reaching out. On packed gravel, yes, the Parkit360 Transformer Electric Trailer Dolly # PA66VR can work great, but with the weight of your camper, and the Gen-Y goosebox, no this is not recommended. You would need to use the gooseneck/ball mount adapter and this is only rated for 1,000 lbs of tongue weight. With your trailer being around 2K tongue weight you would be way over the weight capacity so it would not be safe.

Hey Eric, were you able to find another way to move your Brinkley z3100 since the Transformer dolly wasn’t a safe match for that tongue weight? Knowing what option worked could help others with heavy gooseneck setups.

@JesseM, yes I ordered and bought a Trax X2 from Trax Dolly's out of Ontario Canada. I really wish E trailer would carry this product line. They are more money than the transformer 360 but with 5th wheels getting larger and heavier, it's about the only option.

@EricG Nice! Glad to hear you found something that worked for your 5th wheel. Sounds like it really is the only option. That isn't a brand we carry right now but it seems these electric dollies are getting more and more popular.
