Will Blue Ox KarGard Protective Shield BX8870 Work With Roadmaster Nighthawk Tow Bar?

Question:
Will the Blue Ox KarGard Protective Shield for Towed Vehicles work with the Roadmaster Nighthawk towbar? I have the Blue Ox KarGard from a motor coach I just bought but am installing a Roadmaster Nighthawk hitch. Can you let me know if it will work?

Hey Andy, thanks for reaching out. I cannot confirm the Blue Ox KarGard Towed Vehicle Protector part # BX8870 fits the Roadmaster Nighthawk Tow Bar. The vehicle guards/protectors are rather specific to the brand of base plate and tow bar so mixing and matching with adapters is just asking for trouble. If you have both parts on hand, you could always try it out and see if would work, but in all likelihood it would not.

Do you have a substitute that would work with the Roadmaster? I am hesitant to spend more money at this point because of what i have just spent on the towbar, brake system, etc...
