Parts Needed to Flat Tow 2025 Ford Escape Platinum Hybrid With Ready Brute Elite Tow Bar

I have just bought a 2025 escape Hybrid AWD Platinum and I would like to install a tow system using a road master Base Plate, ready brute elite tow bar and would like to know what other items I would need for the turn signals to work and assure that the battery will not die. Also are there other parts i need to assure the brakes work on this car and i am towing within the law? The ready brute already activates the brake lights when applied. I have been towing a 2013 elantra manual much less to worry about with that. Thanks Gary

Hey Gary! I would be happy to help you get all the parts you need to flat tow your new Flat Tow 2025 Ford Escape Platinum Hybrid. If you don't already have them, make sure you get the version of the Ready Brute Elite that has the Roadmaster connectors.

Regarding the brake system, the Elite should be the one that has their integrated brake system with it. The shank will have some wiring coming off of it and that black lever on top. More than likely you will need some kind of 2nd vehicle kit to make it work with your Escape but you will have to reach out to NSA to get it since we don't carry their products.

For the rest of the setup I recommend the following:

-Roadmaster Direct-Connect Base Plate Kit # RM77GR

-Roadmaster 4-Diode Universal Wiring Kit for Towed Vehicles # RM-15267

-Roadmaster Battery Charge Line Kit for Towed Vehicles # RM-156-25

-Roadmaster Brake-Lite Relay Kit for Towed Vehicles # RM-88400

The diode kit will take care of your lights and the charge line kit will keep the battery charged on your vehicle. More than likely you will also need a high-low adapter like the etrailer High-Low Adjustable Adapter for Tow Bars # e52ZV to keep your setup level. @Gary some brake systems have a second vehicle kit so you can transfer the existing system over to another car without buying the entire thing again. Like the Second Vehicle Kit for Demco Air Force One Flat Tow Brake System # SM99209. I know very little about the brake system from NSA, there may not be one, it may not be necessary. I was pointing it out as a possibility over a completely new system since it helps save money.
