Have you ever been towing and had to deal with that awful back-and-forth jostling for your entire trip? It's enough to make you feel sick. And that bumpy, jerky ride not only takes a toll on you as you drive, but it beats up your equipment too, leading to premature wear and tear on both your truck and trailer. This is because most ball mounts are made almost completely of metal, so there's nothing to help soften the road shock you experience while driving down the highway at high speeds.
Fortunately, the Shocker Hitch XRC helps solve that problem.
The Shocker Hitch XRC ball mount is equipped with 2 rubber bumpers located on opposite sides of the adjustable channel. When the channel body moves back and forth along with your trailer, these bumpers help to absorb the road shock and vibration. This cushion helps protect your equipment and, more importantly, keeps you and your passengers from getting jostled around the cab when you're towing over bumpy roads and rough terrain.
Unlike other shock-absorbing systems that use air bags, which require you to consistently add and remove air, the XRC is nearly maintenance-free. Just grease it up using the zerk fitting on the side of the unit, and you're ready to go.
If you tow trailers with various heights, adjusting the height of the hitch ball is an easy process. When the ball mount is in its standard drop position, simply remove the pins and clips holding the ball mount platform in place and slide the platform up or down to the desired location. You can also flip the unit over and use it in its rise position, giving you even more versatility. Once you have the correct height, reinsert the pins and secure the clips, and fold back the handles so they're out of the way. Then you're ready to go.

What's up, everybody It's AJ with etrailer.com. Today we're gonna be checking out these shocker hitch. This is gonna have a 2 5/16" ball on there with the drop attachment and it's gonna fit in a 2 1/2" hitch. Let's check it out. Adjustable ball mount's a good idea if you have different trailers and trucks of different heights because you want to ride even when you're going down the road. So you can easily pull these pins and clips, move this up and down to adjust for different heights of trailer and trucks.
Nice thing about the Impact Max is it also has this rubber portion here that absorbs some of the shock when you're driving down the road. So if there is chucking going on with the coupler moving up and down, that's gonna transfer to your steering wheel. While you're driving, you'll feel that in the truck, so this will absorb some of that so you won't have any of that in the cab. You'll be able to adjust really easily. You're just gonna pull the clips and then the pins.
You can adjust where the ball is gonna go. So right here in this position, we replace both pins. This would be a 4 1/2" drop and you can go all the way down here, make sure you match up both the holes so we set it in this position. (metal clanking) Put that one through. Our second one, this is gonna give you a 7 1/2" drop.
When adjusting the height of the ball, you use the pin and clips, which I really like. They're heavy duty. They have a nice handle on them so it's easy to grab these to pull them out or slide them back into place. The ball's gonna be zinc coated and the rest of the assembly's gonna be cold rolled powder coat steel, so you don't have to worry about leaving it on the back of your truck. If it does rain, the elements won't get to it, none of it will rust or corrode on you.
We're gonna have a zerk fitting here on the side so you can add more grease when you need to do maintenance on the ball mount. I like that it's there. It's an option so you can keep it working like when you just got it. Some of the things to think about would be the hitch pin. It's not gonna come with the hitch pin, so you can get a locking hitch pin kit from InfiniteRule that will lock the assembly to your hitch and also replace these pins here, locking your accessory in place so just something to consider. If you wanna leave it on the back of your truck all the time, you don't want people to mess with it, you've already invested in the shocker hitch, I would go ahead and get those locking hitch pins, just keep everything safe. Overall, I like this adjustable ball mount. The Impact Max is really easy to operate and move our 2 5/16" ball up or down to adjust to different trailer sizes or heights. Now you can also get different accessories that go in here, so if you need a 2" ball, that's possible. They even have a dual ball set up you can get, so really opens up your options if you are buying this and you expand, you get different trailers, you don't have to get all new ball mounts. You can just buy the accessories and keep using this. Well, I think that does it. Thanks for hanging out and hope this helps.

Works as expected and well built, heavy duty hitch.
After using your e-trailer bracket to eliminate the receiver from rattling, I got the rattle back from the "drop bracket". I still gave it a 4 star because the amount of rattle is reduced very considerably.
