Replacement Heat Strip for a Coleman Mach
Updated 11/14/2025 | Published 11/10/2025 >
Question:
I have an Advent heat strip ACRHD. That I tried to use it with my Mach control box dual heat and dual heat thermostat. Seems the adapter pigtail merges the heat so I am not able to run them separately like i did on my Mach. Anyway, Ive decided to sell the heat strip. I need the Black/Red wiring in white plug. with respect to the flat side of the round plug

Thanks for your question, Ron
I can definitely look into that for you. Some information I'll need is what model of Mach you have and how old it is. There was a recent change with what refrigerant is used and because of that most if not all parts are not cross compatible. If you can get a picture of the data label and email it to me that would be awesome.
Hot to find your ACs data label:
Roof-mounted (most common): Under the shroud (the outer plastic cover) on the curb side, usually near the electrical access panel. You’ll need to remove the outer shroud (usually 4–6 screws).
Ceiling assembly (interior): If you have an interior ceiling control unit (like a Mach 8, Mach 10, or Mach 15), remove the air return grill. Some models have the data sticker on the metal base pan visible through that opening.
Let me know with a comment and I can get to searching.

Not sure if you fully understood my question. I'll try to clarify. My question has to do with the Red and Black wire at the molex connector tip of the Advent heat strip. Nothing to do with the Mach. I was just trying to paint a picture of what was going on. I had removed the wires from the molex plug to install into my mach. After discovering the heat was merged due to the pigtail, I decided to abort and just sell the heat strip. But, dummy me forgot to note the Red/ Black wires in the molex connector. It's AC (not DC) so I'm thinking it shouldn't matter.
